Nicola Crawhall

Nicola has over 25 years’ professional experience in public policy development, government relations, facilitation, and project management. Over the last ten years, she has built up a successful public affairs consulting practice.
Nicola holds a Master of Philosophy in Development Studies from the Institute of Development Studies in Brighton England, and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Toronto.
Sarah Rang, MSc

Sarah Rang of Blue Water Consulting is a Toronto-based associate of Westbrook Public Affairs. Sarah has over thirty years’ of experience and expertise in water and chemical management, climate change, government policy, Great Lakes issues, and municipal environmental programs. She is the former deputy director of the Great Lakes and St. Lawrence Cities Initiative, and former Director of Policy for the Ontario Ministry of the Environment.
Stephanie Allard, BSc, MA

Stephanie Allard of ECOgestion-Solutions, based in Quebec City, is an associate of Westbrook Public Affairs. In her practice, Stephanie specializes in ecological characterization studies and environmental and regulatory assessment prior to site development.
Her work is geared towards seeking creative solutions to complex environmental issues (watercourses, floodplains, wetlands). Recent projects include lake and stream master plans, analysis of the Energy East Pipeline project, and the design of lower-impact real estate development projects. Stephanie has extensive knowledge of the legislative and regulatory environment in land use planning and environmental protection in Quebec.
Stephanie is involved with various associations as a mentor and is a speaker at various events. She is a lecturer in planning at Laval University and a trainer for the Federation of Quebec Municipalities.
David Thompson, LLB, LLM, MSc

David Thompson of Policy Link, is a Victoria (B.C.) -based associate of Westbrook Public Affairs. David has over 20 years of experience in organizational development, project management, fiscal policy, and environmental and energy issues. He has worked for governments (including Indigenous governments), university research institutes, non-profit organizations, businesses, labour organizations and others.
David has led projects relating to law reform, provincial budgets, land use planning, Indigenous traditional knowledge and use, impact and benefit agreements, organizational governance, strategic planning and business planning. He has authored numerous articles and book chapters, co-authored a book on the tobacco industry, and is a co-founder of PolicyLink and the Firelight Group.
